Beyond the Ice Cream Cone tells the authentic story about food at the 1904 World's Fair. It dispells the myths about the ice cream cone, hot dog, and iced tea and informs the reader about the many ways food impacted the Fair and the development of food products and companies at that time. It also tells the story of the famous author, cook, and dietician Sarah Tyson Rorer, who operated a restaurant at the Fair as well as gave cooking demonstartions to visitors at the Fair.
