Detailed Description

Charles Graham drew this bird's eye view of the fairgrounds nearly one year before the final construction was complete. The grand, fan like sweep of the central palaces became one of the most familiar representations of the 1904 World's Fair. It was used on postcards, advertising broadsides and guidebooks. This view from above helped to shape visitors' perceptions of the fair. This image is from the Missouri History Museum's Collections and is on display in the 1904 World's Fair, Looking Back at Looking Forward exhibit. 24" x 36"
